cinnamon roll waffles

For my mom’s birthday I did a cinnamon breakfast. She loves everything made with cinnamon, therefore, almost everything in the table had cinnamon. I bought some Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, placed them at the waffle maker and voila, cinnamon waffle.

chunky birthday cake

It was my mom’s birthday and I wanted to do something different for her. Her favorite chocolate bar is nestles chunky and her favorite dessert is cake or anything with cinnamon. Almost every year our family sings to her with a coldstone cake or a cinnamon roll, bun or cinnamon something. That’s why this year we surprised her with a chunky cake. I got the idea from Cookies and Cups, in which she did a rolo cake mix bar. Instead of the rolo I used chunky and I used Duncan’s confetti cupcake mix. Which I then noticed has much less mix than the cake mix, that’s why my batter was way more liquid that it was supposed to be. Nevertheless it was scrumptious.

Ingredients:

1 box (18.25 oz) yellow, vanilla or white cake mix ( I used Duncan Hines), dry

5 oz evaporated milk

1/4 cup butter, melted

10 bars chunky

Step by Step

Preheat oven to 350F

Beat cake mix, evaporated milk and butter until combined.

Pour  half of the mixture to the bottom of the pan.

Bake that half mixture about 8 minutes.

Take the cake out of the oven and add the chunky pieces.

Add the  remaining batter on top of the chunky.

Bake for 20 minutes.

Enjoy!

nutella cupcakes

Like the nutella freak that I am, I always want to bake things and add nutella. I’ve searched for nutella cupcakes everywhere but what instead I found cupcakes with nutella swirls or chocolate cupcakes with nutella frosting, but not a nutella cupcake. I couldn’t believe it, so, I went a tried a normal cupcake recipe and added some nutella. When the final product came out, I discovered why there was no recipe for it. They don’t taste nothing like nutella. I got so angry and disappointed that I frosted the cupcakes with pure nutella. In the result of a taste of a hint of nutella. Nevertheless they make a very good chocolate cupcake. They are moist and chocolaty.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 stick butter at room temperature

3/4 cup sugar

2 large eggs

1 jar of nutella

Step by Step:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Then in another bowl mix, milk and vanilla.

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time.

Next add the dry ingredients slowly until well mixed.

Then, add the milk and vanilla.

Last but not least add the 1 jar of nutella

Bake for about 20 minutes.

Enjoy!
